COUPLE'S ADVENTURE PHOTOSHOOT IN YOULGREAVE, PEAK DISTRICT, INSPIRED BY THE NOTEBOOK.
“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that’s what you’ve given me. That’s what I’d hoped to give you forever.” The Notebook

Hands up if The Notebook is one of your all-time favourite romance movies? Mine too.
When Beth & Rhys approached me for a Loved Up Photoshoot with a difference, we set out to plan a romantic couples shoot that had all the feels.
Beth & Rhys immediately reminded me of Allie & Noah, the main characters in The Notebook. Not only in their appearances, but also in their sweet interactions, and the urgency of their love. In The Notebook, the young Allie & Noah spend an idyllic summer together, growing in their love for one another. I wanted to portray Beth & Rhys' timeless love, and with a bit of research, I found the perfect setting to tell their love story.

Youlgreave is a beautiful village in the Peak District, around 4 miles from Bakewell. The village has beautiful footpaths, scenic fields, and an incredible swimming spot. The village reminded me of Seabrook, the town in which The Notebook is set in, and gave us the perfect backdrop for the romantic shots we wanted to capture.
I always aim to document natural portrayals of love and affection, and these fleeting moments are most prevalent when couples feel comfortable to be themselves around me. After spending time chatting, we went on a walk, and the moments you see here, unfolded with a little bit of direction, but mostly, it's Beth & Rhys' love.
My editing style is warm and atmospheric. I wanted the gallery to inspire the desire for a timeless summer romance, it's also influenced by my interpretation of how a modern-day Noah & Allie would appear through a photographer's eye.
